Bars and home pubs
More and more people are choosing the option of having a home bar or pub to entertain their guests.
Styles and shapes of Bars
Traditional bars were always designed in either a L shape or a U shape with solid wood and allot of glass. While those styles are still very popular today, we have found that our clients are pushing the boundaries by putting a modern twist on the classic bar design. Fully fitted bars can store a lot of glasses and bar accessories as well as stock all your liquor to create signature cocktails. Using bright colours and more of a streamline design, you can create a drinks station or even mini bars that are aesthetically pleasing as well as space saving. Drink pods also have become popular lately as it saves space and is an all in one space where you are able to pour drinks, house a fridge and store glasses with ease. Bars with bright colours add a touch of modernized visual appeal that is aesthetically pleasing.
Essential options when designing a Bar
A Preparation bowl a fridge and a ice maker are of the utmost importance to completing a functional bar. Schränke manufactures a vast variety of different cupboards to name a few: display cabinets where you can show off your prized liquor, pull out dustbin, several wine wrack options and so the list continues. When designing the bar make sure that the walkway behind the bar is ample. For the counter tops in the bar, always choose either a granite, quartz or stone finish as this is a high water traffic area. Some other options are glass that is either clear or coloured to your specification. Bamboo solid wood has also become popular to create a natural look.
